Lord Tiger

Bay colt by Tiger Hill out of Lady Catherine

LadyCatherinehead

Now that I’m a yearling I am turned out every day for a run around the paddock with my friends who are the same age.

As you can see I still have my winter coat in this photograph but as the weather warms up through the summer I will begin to look less woolly.

I spent the rest of the summer in Newmarket, growing up in the large paddocks at White Lodge Stud. I was in a field with Bright Tiara 07 and towards the end of the year, we were put on an aeroplane for eight hours to fly to Dubai. This is where we will spend the winter.

On 1 January 2009, we became two-year-olds. We have already started our training and we're really starting to feel like racehorses now!

We will start by walking and trotting and as we become fitter and stronger we'll progress to cantering and eventually galloping, which is the fastest a horse can go. When we have done plenty of training gallops, then we will eventually set foot on a racecourse. My name is now officially Lord Tiger.

Below you can see a photo of me at my home in Dubai which is called Zabeel Racing Stables.

Although the weather is very hot here, we have air-conditioned stables to keep us cool and a 100m swimming pool to swim in once we have finished our exercise on the track.
