Cravat
Bay colt by Dubai Destination out of Crinolette

I was only four days old when the picture above was taken at Rutland Stud where I was born. I stayed with my mum until I was six or seven months old, when I was ‘weaned’, which meant I was moved to a different paddock to mum with lots of friends of my own age to play with.

In November 2010, I moved again – this time to a yard belonging to Mark Johnston who is a very successful trainer. He is going to get me fit and teach me how to run fast and hopefully I’ll be racing and winning soon, just like my big brother Cedarberg. My name is now officially Cravat.

It didn't take me long to get the hang of things, on my first day at the races on 2nd May 2011 I won a maiden race at Beverley racecourse.

I've been kept very busy all summer and in early September I won my second race at Chester racecourse. I am now running over a further distance and showing my best form of the season. If I continue to improve I will hopefully win lots more races!
