Foal diary

I was born at Warren Stud which is very near Dalham Hall Stud on 19th March 2011. My Mum is named Adonesque and she won two races when she was younger including a Listed race in Ireland. My mum used to live in America and moved to England last year. My Dad is Shamardal, one of the best stallions in Europe and lives at Kildangan Stud in Ireland. When he used to race he was never beaten when he ran on turf and won two Classic races in France.

I am pictured above with my mum playfully nibbling her mane which is a sign of affection! I stayed with my mum until I was six or seven months old, when I was ‘weaned’, which meant I was moved to a different paddock to mum with lots of friends of my own age to play with.

On 1 January 2012, I officially turned one and am now classed as a yearling. I have moved to a new home - White Lodge Stud - and am spending lots of time running around in the paddock!
