Jockey colours
Jockeys all wear coloured jackets made of silk (they are sometimes called 'silks' or 'colours') to help people tell horses apart when they are watching a race.
Each owner has their own set of colours and all the jockeys who ride their horses will wear them when the horses race. Sheikh Mohammed has two sets of colours - the Godolphin royal blue and the maroon and white colours pictured below.

In some countries, such as the United States, you are allowed to choose any colour or design you want for your racing colours. Here in Britain, owners can only choose certain colours and patterns for their silks, as we've shown below.
