15 winners for Raven’s Pass

Progressive filly Sillabub breaks her maiden in style

First-season sire Raven's Pass, who has enjoyed a very successful season siring three individual Group horses, further increased his winners’ total on 3 December when HRH Princess Haya’s filly Sillabub won in impressive fashion at Kempton.

Breaking well from the stalls, the John Gosden-trained filly was settled just off the early leaders and taking up the lead approaching the final furlong, eased clear of her all-male rivals to win by two and a half lengths.

Bred by Grade 1 Bloodstock, Halcyon Farm et al, Sillabub is out of the Tale Of The Cat mare Bauble, a half-sister to G1 winner Persistently and a granddaughter of eight-time G1-winning Champion Heavenly Prize.

Raven’s Pass is also sire of record-breaking G2 winner Steeler, plus G3 Prix Eclipse second Interesting, and fellow Group performer Glean.

He stands at Kildangan Stud at a fee of €30,000, October 1st Special live foal.
