Darley reduces fees across the board

New Approach enters Dalham Hall Stud at £30,000; Ramonti retires to Kildangan at €5,000

Darley has set its stallion fees for 2009 and has significantly reduced the vast majority against 2008 prices.

New Approach
, who was rated the best two-year-old for a decade in 2007, before winning the Derby, the Irish Champion Stakes and then the Champion Stakes at Newmarket breaking the 24-year-old course record, enters Dalham Hall Stud at £30,000.

Ramonti
, who also won five Group One races and is the only horse ever to notch up the Queen Anne, the Sussex Stakes and the QEII in the same season, retires to Kildangan Stud at just €5,000.

Sam Bullard, Darley's Director of Stallions, said: 'The Darley roster is one of unrivalled quality and unbeatable value.  As well as reducing our fees, we continue to assist breeders in minimising costs by circulating our stallions within Europe.  Authorized, Shamardal and Shirocco will stand at Kildangan Stud while Dubawi, Manduro and Tiger Hill will stand at Dalham Hall.  King’s Best, who has had so much success in France and who is very popular with our French clients, will relocate to Haras du Logis.’
