Doors open at Dalham Hall Stud

All nine stallions will be available to view on 7 February

Dalham Hall Stud will be holding an open day this Thursday, 7 February, to coincide with the Tattersalls February Sale.

All nine Dalham Hall residents will be available to view between 11.30am and 3pm. Heading the roster is leading sire Dubawi, who stands alongside his son Poet's Voice (pictured) - whose first foals are arriving now.

New Approach, last year’s Champion first-season sire, will also be on show, together with new recruit and World Champion Sepoy; plus fellow Australian import and outstanding sire of juveniles Exceed And Excel.

Kheleyf enjoyed another superb year in 2012, equalling Invincible Spirit’s record of 42 European two-year-old winners in a single season. Authorized was also successful last year, recording the best percentage of winners to runners of any major European stallion.

Shirocco sired 11 Stakes performers in 2012, headed by Park Hill Stakes winner Wild Coco, who was subsequently sold for 985,000 guineas at Tattersalls. Completing the roster is Darley stalwart Halling, who is well-renowned for his ability to produce tough, top-class performers.
