Elite Elle remains unbeaten to take the Quezette

Shamardal filly goes four-for-four to become her sires’ 40th Stakes winner

Having won her past three starts in impressive fashion, Shamardal filly Elite Elle started as one of the favoured runners in her first attempt to add some Black type to her pedigree.

Jumping away well from the barriers, the Tony Vasil-trained filly settled in second position before taking the lead as the field headed for home.

Recording a length victory over Agueda in the Listed Quezette Stakes, with a further five lengths back to the third horse, Elite Elle also left last season’s G1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Samaready well-back in fourth.

Bred by Mr D Watson, Elite Elle is out of the Encosta de Lago mare Mystic Elle who has already produced the Stakes performed Reset mare Classic Elle. Mystic Elle has a yearling colt by Bernardini, and is due to foal in the coming weeks to that very same stallion.

The sire of 40 Stakes winners, Shamardal has sired an impressive list of seven G1 winners including Lope De Vega, Faint Perfume, Zazou, Casamento and Captain Sonador.
