First Stakes winner for Authorized

Authorized’s first crop have been enjoying a successful year to date, with no fewer than 17 of them winning so far in 2012.

A consistent campaigner for his sire, Toruk Macto is regarded as one of the top three-year-olds currently racing in Turkey and on 2 June he became the first Black type winner for Authorized in the most impressive fashion when posting a wide-margin victory in the 3yo colt Listed Mehmet Akif Ersoy (a local G2 contest) at Ankara.

Toruk Macto has now finished in the frame in seven of his eight starts, and has won on no fewer than five occasions.

Bred by Tinnakill Bloodstock Limited and Alan Byrne, Toruk Macto is the third winner out of the G3-winning Gone West mare Mythical Girl. His granddam Yousefia is a full sister to Green Desert.

Authorized is sire of a further three Black type performers this year, including G3 colt Mano Diao and Listed-placed fillies Colima and Estrela.
