Hot Streak for Iffraaj

His juvenile son takes the G3 Cornwallis Stakes at Ascot

Iffraaj's juvenile son Hot Streak continued his sires excellent season when running out the very easy winner of the G3 Cornwallis Stakes at Ascot. Always near the front in the fiercely run five furlong contest, he took the lead two furlongs from home and went further and further clear to win very easily by five lengths.

Bred by Barry Noonan and bought by current connections at Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up sale for 42,000Gns earlier this year, he is a half-brother to Stakes juvenile filly New Design and out of the Housebuster mare Ashirah, who is a granddaughter of one of the best mares in the Studbook in Height Of Fashion.

Hot Streak is very aptly named as he becomes Iffraaj's third Group winning juvenile this season. A Champion first-season sire back in 2010, Hot Streak is one of seven Stakes performing juveniles from Iffraaj's fourth crop, including a pair of G1-winners in Rizeena and Chriselliam. His fifth crop, who are from his best ever book of mares, are currently at the yearling sales and already include sales of €500,000 at Goffs and €340,000 at Arqana.
