Meet the new boys at Kildangan Stud

Breeders welcome to visit Ramonti, Shirocco and Authorized throughout the foal and breeding stock sales at Goffs

The Kildangan roster for 2009 boasts three stallions new to Ireland. The recently-retired Ramonti, winner of five Group One races in an illustrious career, has now taken up residence in Co Kildare and will stand alongside Authorized and Shirocco, both of whom have previously stood at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket.

As a scintillating winner of the 2007 Derby at Epsom under Frankie Dettori, Authorized needs little introduction. We look forward to the first crop of foals by the son of Montjeu, which will be on the ground from January.

Shirocco retired to stud in 2007.  Like Ramonti, he was a prolific scorer beyond just the British Isles: his four Group One wins coming in the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Belmont Park, Epsom’s Coronation Cup, the Gran Premio del Jockey Club in Milan and the Deutsches Derby.

The team at Darley will be pleased to welcome breeders to Kildangan Stud during the foal and breeding stock sales at Goffs, which run from 17 to 23 November.

Raven's Pass and New Approach will also be available for viewing at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket during Tattersalls’ December Sales, after which Raven’s Pass will be transported to Ireland to take up stud duties.
