New Stakes winner for Dubawi

Quanzhou lands the Listed Grand Prix Du Nord; Samana Cay (Authorized) takes second

Three-year-old fillies Quanzhou (Dubawi) and Samana Cay (Authorized) provided the Darley stallions with the exacta in the Listed Grand Prix Du Nord on 3 November, finishing first and second respectively.

Already Stakes-placed twice this year, Quanzhou took the ten-and-a-half-furlong contest by half a length to become the 46th individual Group or Listed winner by her sire.

Owned and bred by Haras De La Perelle, Quanzhou is out of the Stakes-placed Monsun mare Quezon Sun, herself a daughter of G1 performer Quezon City.

Dubawi is also sire of 2012 Dubai World Cup winner Monterosso, plus fellow Group winners Electrelane and Hunter’s Light, the latter of whom lines up alongside his paternal half-brother Waldpark in tomorrow’s G1 Premio Roma.
