New Zealand G2 success for Iffraaj colt

Turn Me Loose wins G2 Hawke's Bay Guineas

Having just his fourth start, Iffraaj three-year-old colt Turn Me Loose recorded his first Black type success with a tough victory in the G2 Hawke’s Bay Guineas over 7f at Hastings in New Zealand, October 4.

Trapped wide in the early stages, Turn Me Loose was allowed to stride forward to sit outside the lead. After dashing clear at the top of the straight, Turn Me Loose fought off several challengers to prevail by a head.

Bred by Mr G and Mrs M Simon, Turn Me Loose is out of the Danehill mare Indomitable, a three-quarter sister to Stakes performer Martial Art.

Turn Me Loose is the 22nd Stakes winner for Iffraaj who is the sire of G1 winners Rizeena, Chriselliam, Benvenue and Wooton Bassett.
