Open weekends at Haras du Logis

New recruit Alexandros among seven Darley stallions on show in Normandy

Darley has strengthened its support of the French stallion market and currently stands seven stallions, all of whom will be on show on 29 and 30 January, at Julian Ince’s Haras du Logis in Normandy. The stud will also be taking part in the FRBC’s Route des Etalons, hosting further open days the following weekend, the 5 and 6 February.

The impressive Logis line-up is headed by King's Best, Europe's leading sire at the end of the flat season, whose superb results in 2011 were headed by the Derby and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Workforce

King’s Best was joined at stud last year by his handsome son Creachadoir, and this year by his paternal half-bother, the beautifully-bred Alexandros (pictured). From both the sire line and family of Dubawi, Alexandros defeated no fewer than 23 G1 winners during his racing career and was a Group-winning juvenile who was also placed in the G1 Prix Morny, G1 Lockinge Stakes and G1 Dubai Duty Free.

Layman's first runners did him proud last season, earning him the title of French Champion first-season sire and further enhancing the reputation of sons of Sunday Silence at stud.

Slickly, the best stallion son of the pensioned Linamix, is now firmly established as one of France’s leading proven sires and will be available for viewing along with two sons of Danzig, Anabaa’s three-parts brother Country Reel and top-class miler Librettist, whose first crop included last season’s July Stakes and Richmond Stakes hero Libranno.
