Raven's Pass to stand at Kildangan Stud

Princess Haya's record-breaking Breeders' Cup Classic winner has been retired and will stand at Darley's Kildangan Stud, Ireland, in 2009. His fee has been set at €40,000 October 1st, Special live foal.

Raven's Pass – who emerged as a star in the making when winning the G3 Solario Stakes by seven lengths in a record time at two – capped  his career with two more record-breaking victories: in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes over a mile at Ascot, trumping Henrythenavigator's finishing kick with his own; and defeating  Curlin and the rest in the 10f Breeders' Cup Classic on his debut on a synthetic surface.

John Ferguson, Sheikh Mohammed's bloodstock advisor, said, 'Raven's Pass will stand at Kildangan, but I'm sure we'll be encouraging mares from Kentucky to County Kildare. A horse with genuine global appeal, he'll give top breeders the opportunity to sell his offspring either in Europe or the USA.'
