Purple patch continues for Iffraaj

Dogma Noir records his second Stakes win to cap a fantastic week for his sire

Iffraaj has been enjoying a superb run of success lately and in September alone he has sired no fewer than seven individual Stakes performers, led by G1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Rizeena and this week’s G1 Fillies’ Mile winner Chrisellium (a race in which Rizeena finished second).

On 29 September, his son Dogma Noir rounded off a fantastic week for his sire when recording his second Black type win, landing the ten-and-a-half furlong Premio Villa Borghese by two lengths.

Bred by Alberto Panetta, he is out of the winning Rainbow Quest mare Patruel, herself a daughter of G1 Coronation Stake winner Kissing Cousin.

In addition to the aforementioned G1-winning duo Chrisellium and Rizeena, Iffraaj is also sire of recent G3 winner Dibajj, plus talented juvenile Hot Streak – third in the G2 Mill Reef Stakes last week.

He has sired nine individual Black type winners so far this year, plus a further 12 horses that have been placed at Stakes level.

Iffraaj has nine yearlings due to sell at this week’s Goffs Orby Sale, and a further 14 catalogued in the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Part 1.
