Second Stakes victory for Daksha

Daughter of Authorized flies down the home straight at Munich to continue a great weekend for her sire

Just a day after Complacent became the second G1 winner this year for Authorized (winning the Spring Champion Stakes at Randwick, Australia), his three-year-old daughter Daksha returned to winning ways in tremendous style when sweeping home to win the Listed Nereide-Rennen in Munich.

Racing at the rear of the field early on, Daksha made her move once she entered the home straight and demonstrated a scintillating turn of foot to fly home and win by a length and a quarter.

This was her third victory overall and second at Black type level, having previously won the Listed Diana Trial at Baden-Baden back in May.

Bred by Gestut Hof Ittlingen, Daksha is the best performer to date out of the Rahy mare Dareen, herself a daughter of G1 Coronation Stakes winner Golden Opinion.

Authorized has enjoyed a thoroughly successful year, siring seven individual Stakes winners including G1 winner Ambivalent and the aforementioned Complacent, plus fellow Group winners Rehn’s Nest (also placed at G1 level) and Sugar Boy.
