Second Stakes win for Sheikhzayedroad

Dubawi's consistent son takes the G2 York Stakes

Dubawi's consistent son Sheikhzayedroad won his second consecutive Stakes race on Saturday July 26 when running out a very game winner of the G2 York Stakes. Coming into the race on the back of a victory in the Listed Fred Archer Stakes at Newmarket, he took up up his customary hold up tactics before being brought late to overhaul Secret Gesture with Cape Cross' son Windhoek back in third.

Bred by Rabbah Bloodstock and running in the colours of Mohammed Jaber, he is out of the Highest Honor mare Royal Secrets, herself a daughter of G2 winner Marble Maiden.

Sheikhzayedroad is his 33rd individual Group winner to hail from the first three European crops of very impressive Dubawi. No other European stallion has ever sired this many before in the same period of time, with his closest pursuers Galileo and Oasis Dream both 11 Group winners behind.
