Hot Streak wins the G2 Temple Stakes

Son of Iffraaj beats his elders at Haydock

Iffraaj's exceptionally fast son Hot Streak cemented his position as Europe's leading three-year-old Sprinter on Saturday May 24 when making all the running in the G2 Temple Stakes over Haydock Park's minimum five furlong trip. A G3-winning juvenile at Ascot, Hot Streak was only just denied in the G1 Middle Park Stakes on his final start as a two-year-old and he will now likely head to the opening day of Royal Ascot for the G1 King's Stand Stakes.

Bred by Barry Noonan and bought by current connections at Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up sale for 42,000Gns, he is a half-brother to Stakes juvenile filly New Design and out of the Housebuster mare Ashirah, who is a granddaughter of one of the best mares in the Studbook in Height Of Fashion.

Hot Streak is one of four Stakes winners to come from Iffraaj's impressive fourth crop. He had a pair of G1-winning juveniles in Chriselliam and Rizeena and well as this season's impressive Stakes winner Prince Of All. His fifth crop, who are from his best ever book of mares, are currently juveniles and sold for up to €500,000 as yearlings. Iffraaj is standing this current season at a fee of €25,000.
