Third Stakes victory for son of Kheleyf

Virtual Game wins the Listed Premio Regione Toscana

Virtual Game, a four-year-old son of Kheleyf, won his third career Stakes race on Sunday March 23 when taking the 2200m Listed Premio Regione Toscana at Pisa in Italy. He has now won eight races in a 19 race career including taking the Listed Premio Rumon as a juvenile and the Listed Premio Merano in Milan last season.

Bred by Jennifer and Evelyn Cullen, Virtual Game is out of the Sadler's Wells mare Engraving, a sister to Stakes winner Kocab and the immediate family of last season's G1 Grand Prix de Paris winner Flintshire. Engraving also has a yearling colt by Iffraaj who was sold as a foal last year for €58,000.

Kheleyf, who stands at Dalham Hall Stud at a fee of £5,000 Oct 1st, SLF, is renowned for siring juvenile winners. Virtual Game was himself a Stakes-winning two-year-old and he was one of the record-breaking 42 individual juveniles winners Kheleyf sired in 2012. Last season he sired his best yet, the 116-rated Big Time who went so close to winning a G1 at the Curragh, and he currently holds entries in both the English and Irish 2,000 Guineas in May.
