New winner for Alexandros

La Caravelle the latest successful runner for her first-season sire

First-season sire Alexandros, already sire of Stakes-placed winner La Khaleesi and unbeaten filly Olija, added a third winner to his record on 10 August when his daughter La Caravelle was victorious over six furlongs at Aurillac in France.

Bred by Canary Thoroughbreds, she is out of the Dr Fong mare Sister Agnes – also dam of Stakes-placed runner Snap Call. The mare is herself a half-sister to G1 performer and G3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes winner Border Arrow.

Alexandros was a Group-winning juvenile, landing the G3 Prix de Cabourg and was also third in the G1 Prix Morny at two. He went on to finish second in the G1 Lockinge Stakes, beaten just a nose. A son of Kingmambo, Alexandros is also from the family of In The Wings and Dubawi.
